1) I knew that in the US already had apartheid years ago. The black people were prohibited to enter and stand in the same places that white people. They didn't have the same rights. I knew about the importance of Martin Luther King. I knew also about Ku Klux Klan, that was a group who defend the white supremacy and was against black people, their hate could kill many black people, their ideals still keep actually. Even in nowadays black people still suffer prejudice and in US the society is too much separate also. We can find places with only black people. For many people in US, it's ok make joke about black people, and there are people that don't feel intimidate to say opinions based on the skin color.
2) I like the Jackie Robison's history. I already knew somethings about his history. He was the first black man to play officially in the Major League. He always was good with sports. But he suffered prejudice many times, before join in the Baseball team and after too.
3) I dind't know that topics about racism were so discussed on the medias. I didn't know either that there are many people that were important to the history of the black people in USA
Cassio, I am glad that you mentioned Martin Luther King, as he was such an important figure in the civil rights movement. And the KKK also was important at that time though, fortunately, they barely exist now. I hope you are wrong when you say that it is still okay to make jokes about black people. I think there are some regional differences on that subject.
